Trends for this fall (Part one)

I cannot believe how fast time flies by, but here we are already in fall...

I must say that I just LOVE this season. Not only because it's the time of my birthday but also because I find it so chic and elegant when it comes to fashion. 

This year we have so many amazing trends during this season, and believe me they are all so adorable.
Here it is the fisrt part of the Fall Winter 2012 trend series...

I fell in love with the elegance provided by this amazing trend. This season the proposal is to wear as much metal as possible, during day and night, in everything you can imagine and in all the shades that you can find! Dare to wear this trend!!

A new texture is trending and it is velvet. We will find this material in all kinds of clothing, since accessories through dresses and trousers, adding a touch of sweetness to any closet!

This trend is still one of the favorites, dare to feel the wildness of an animal print on your closet! 
What I love the most about this trend is that this kind of prints add an instant touch of chicness to any outfit!

BLOGGER SPOTLIGHT: Michelle Salas

One of the top mexican fashionistas is Michelle Salas. A 22 year old blogger which I had the pleasure to interview.
She has an amazing sense of style and a unique personality that makes her stand from crowds. She has had the oportunity to go to many fashion weeks, to study in NYC and to work with Carolina Herrera. She loves Alexander Wang, Balmain and Alezander McQueen designs.

What means fashion to you?
It's a fun way to represent a little bit of who you are and your personality. It is something that is always in constant change and it does not fall into monotomy.
What represents style to you?
To me, it is a way of being. It makes you feel confortable and sure of yourself. You are the one that creates your style.

What would you consider your style?
I consider myself pretty casual in my everyday style. I like to combine a simple style with dramatic accessories.
What represents and  what is involved in yous style?
My style is my character. I am a simple person who likes to have fun and enjoy every second of life.
What are the basics in your closet?
Black blazer, white shirts and lots of shoes.
What is the key piece in your style?
Shoes
Where does your inspiration come from?
Generaly from pictures, paintings, movies and music.
Who are your icons?
Jane Birkin and Brigitte Bardot
What means to you being involved in the fashion world?
For me it is a great honor as I have had the opportunity to meet incredibly talented people and with a great human quality. A great example for me is Carolina Herrera with whom I had the opportunity to work in New York.
How did you get involved in this industry?
I started many years ago working and studying fashion in NY. It's something that always caught my attention and I eventually managed to make many projects of which I am very happy today.

What has been the best experience you have had in this industry?
Meeting great designersand realizing that you can not get carried away by first impressions. You can weigh a great surprise.
How did you start your blog?
I started chronicling of fashion week for the magazine Hola! some years ago and I had the opportunity to travel to many places in the world for this reason. Now with Blog is a step beyond. It's more personal and I love it!
What's your favorite quote?
If you ever dont get an expected smile, be kind and give your. Because nobody needs so much a smile as the one that does not know how to smile.

Perfect bag for school!!

Here it is, the time of the year when summer break ends and we are headed back to school.

As always we want an A+ in fashion, so here is the first post from this blog series: "From the runways to the hallways" showing you ideas for a perfect bag for school.

I believe that a school bag must be big enough so all your stuff fits, in a neutral or basic color so it can natch almost all your outfits and a pretty looking one.

Style Crush: Nina Dobrev

No one can deny the great style that Nina Dobrev owns. I mean, she is always stunning, whether on a red carpet or on the set of Vampire Diaries or on her daily life, she always looks fabulous! 

I love how she is always showing off her legs and how she looks so flirty and chic. Plus she has such a hot boyfriend, that many many girls would die to have (At least I would!!)

We love color!

Today I spent my afternoon in the middle of a photoshoot with my friends. As always, I had a blast and I ended up loving every single photo!

This time, I also ended amazed by how good you can look with a colored eye liner. I tryed Maybelline New York "Love color" pencils and let me tell you that they work amazing! The color stays for a long time, the shades are fabulous and they pop the color of your eyes in an extraordinary way... if you ever get the chance try them, you won't regret it!!
