Beach essentials!

 This is the time of the year when going to the beach is one of the top activities for a lot of people. 
This inspired me to share with you my beach essentials!
These are the items that will always come with me to the beach and will help me to remain stylish with all the things I need to enjoy the day by the beach.

The Key Piece for Every Wradrobe...

I know a lot of people talk a lot about basics, and I could list some of the below, like jeans, black and white t-shirts, a pencil skirt, a LBD, a blazer, a pair of black high heels and the list could go on and on... but, if you take a close look to the basics I mentioned before you will see that I am missing the key for every wardrobe: ACCESSORIES!
I mean, how would all these basics look without accessories? How many outfit combinations would you be able to make without accessories? Why would you wanna miss the fun part of playing with accessories?

I don't know to others, but to me they are much of a basic as all of the clothes listed above.
The accessories help to bring to life ant outfit, or to make it look completely different without changing the garmets. Plus, they provide you lot of fun during the process of dressing up!

While talking about accessories there is not an specific "Key Piece" since all of the help so much and work perfectly, so feel free to fill your closet with whatever you like!

I'm Loving: Elie Saab!!

Elie Saab is probably one of my favorite designers of all time!
Both of his 2011 Fall-Winter collections are just georgeus and unbelievable to me.
The Haute Couture Collection seems to be just something outstanding... I loved it so bad!
The fabrics the colors, the textures, the cut, the design, the details, the lace, the beading, the elegance, feminity and smoothness of the clothes make this collection so remarkable and special.

The Ready to Wear collection is just something else that can keep me talking about for hours. 
This one is a little less sophisticated than the Haute Couture Collection, however it's still so elegant and remarkable.
We can see details in every single side of the clothes.
What I love the most about this collection is the versatility and elegance of the garmets, there are pieces for everyday and for every ocation!
The color palette is great for the season and then again the details make the most of this collection,

Finally I love that Elie Saab knows that sometimes "Less is more" and we can see this just by taking a look to the collection, check it out here.

Be a fruit loop in a world full of cheerios

Personally, I’m shy. 

Yeah, I’m shy and not just in my way of being but also in my way of dressing, I can actually see my personality reflected on my style... 
You see my point? We dress for who we are, our clothes are a mirror of our inner self.

I can be shy at first but once I’m comfortable enough my shyness disappears. Also I care a lot of what people may think, in EVERYTHING! And those details of me get reflected in the way I dress.

For example when I dress my ideal outfits with some of my "risky" clothes (they are not so risky, they are just different of what people is used to see) is just when I’m with my family... my point?, I am way too comfortable with them for not being shy and I don’t care what they might think of the way I dress because I trust them.

BUT when I dress for being in the middle of a crowd even if I adore the outfit, if it is risky or different than what the rest would wear, simply I prefer not to wear it because I get shy!

Maybe this happens because I have been raised and I live in a society where gossip is in every corner, and EVERYONE is judged for EVERYTHING, and people go bluffing around all the time and we don’t buy things just because we like them but because people decided that they are a "trend" now and if you don’t have it, you stop being cool... how lame is that?!
Who the hell taught us that??!! I mean the idea gets ridiculous... Is like living in a ROBOT society, everyone acts the same, dresses the same, has the same and acts the same. In resume everyone is the same but just on the outside because in the inside we are totally DIFFERENT people with totally different ways of being than the one we choose to show to the rest of the world.

And with all of these I start to wonder where we leave the quote that says "Be a fruit loop in a world full of cheerios"

If you start to think deeper into this mess you will realize that you DONT have to be afraid to show the world who you REALLY are. Because honestly they are missing a lot! The world is missing an amazing person with a great way of being and a style that a lot of people might die for!... and you my dear are hiding that amazing person just because you are afraid of what people might say or because what you want to wear is not something that your society wears... 

At the end it just needs COURAGE to show yourself to the world and what they have been missing, and the next comes easy...

BE YOURSELF. DRESS AS YOU LIKE. DONT CARE OF WHAT OTHERS SAY. 
DONT BE AFFRAID!

So from now on I hope that you start enjoying yourself and your style instead of worrying of what they might say, because I intend on doing the same!.

Tea is a cup of life...Enjoy life sip by sip not gulp by gulp.

My friend Jimena named the album of the photoshoot she recently did to me and to Mariana after this quote...
The theme for this photoshoot was "Tea Party"... we chose this theme because partly it represents friendship, enjoying good times with great company while creating the most amazing memories. If you take a deep look to this quote, it envolves the whole reason of why we decided to do this photooshoot.
The styling for this photoshoot had to match the whole idea of the Tea Party so we chose clothes that had a preppy, elegant, girly kinda vibe...
The result was better that the expected... I believe that the photos are more than amazing and that is why I decided to share some of them with you guys! Hope you like them!!

Welcome to The Runway of Life!

Today I was thinking about fashion, and while I was doing so I realized that to me fashion is not just an art, as a matter of fact "fashion" means much more for me. I belive that fashion is a matter of personality, communication, character, creativity and as once Blair Waldorf said, "Fashion is the most powerful art there is. It is movement, design & architecture all in one. It shows the world who we are and who we'd loke to be". 
So, for me fashion is more like a lifestyle... it is something that goes with your across life. 
While some think that fashion is full of rules, I belive the opposite. If you think about it, we create our own and personal style, we express through it our way ouf being, our feelings, and our beliefs and there are no rules, just ways of taking advantage from fashion.
Coco Chanel once said, "Fashion is not something that exists only in dresses. Fashion is in the sky, in the street; fashion has to do with ideas, the way we live, what is happening." 
If you ask me, I totally agree with the way of thinking of these amazing ladies, ladies that have changed the way we see fashion, ladies that have becomed fashion icons to me and to many others.
And today while I was thinking abour fashion, I started to realize how big my passion for fashion is, and I decided to enroll myself in this new adventure, blogging.
I opened this blog because I want to share with the world, the best inspiration, my thoughts, the newest trends, the best designers, fashion icons that I consider worth watching, and some style tips that I believe are useful for taking advantage from fashion.
